So… we bought a boat.
It’s been hubby’s dream to own his own boat, to be able to fish out on the lake on his own time and terms.
My terms: it needed a toilet and place to sleep.
We both agreed that whatever we chose, it would be something that could host friends and family to share the boating experience, even if it meant simply sitting at the dock and watching the sunset.
After months of visiting boats for sale last summer, we found one that was perfect. Papers signed, the boat went into storage over the winter.
So many papers to sign.
So many hoops to jump through.
So many inspections to be completed.
All worth it. The most important item for us was the name change.
We wanted something that reflected our faith but also was representative of the water.
After some prayer, it didn’t take long. Our Mother, Mary, said to use her name.
Stella Maris – Star of the Sea
This vessel, provided by the Lord, would belong to His Mother.
It’s been several weeks since docking her in May; no regrets.
We know God wants to use her to evangelize. Not sure how; we trust He’ll provide the opportunities. Since this is part of our journey along the narrow way, we will be sharing our experiences here.
Until next time, know of ourprayers for you. Please pray for us.

What a blessing! The name and meaning behind it is perfect!! Congratulations to both of you and all whom you bless!❤️🔥
Thank you Linda! There have been blessings of all kinds 🤗
This is fantastic! My dad had a sailboat when I was growing up. He named it “Mirror of Justice” after one of the names of Mary. Everyone thought he did it because he was an attorney lol
I can see your dad as a sailor. Great name! ⚖️💙
