Lies and Wounds

Some of us believe we’re unworthy, unlovable, and unnecessary.

Lies caused by wounds.
Wounds caused by lies.

At some point in your life someone said something that made you feel ‘less than’. The evil one took the opportunity to whisper lies that you aren’t good enough, that you are expendable, that you aren’t pretty enough or strong enough or smart enough.

Over and over, the devil whispered lies crafted just for you until you believed them.   And now it’s become inconceivable to consider an alternative to what you have come to believe.

Reality is often twisted for the wounded. Clarity is lacking. We can become comfortable in the lie. Pain, known or yet unknown, keeps us bound in the lie.

To seek out the authentic means becoming vulnerable in order to discover the lie that created the wound or the wound that the lie covered up.

Either way, pain. But pain leads to healing when Jesus is invited into it… He is the Divine Physician.

There is great hope! You ARE seen. Jesus knows your pain first-hand. The Father WANTS to heal you!

Here’s the truth:

You ARE loved simply because God made you.

You ARE worthy simply because Jesus died for you.

You ARE necessary because God created you for a purpose. He crafted you with gifts particular to the mission that was given only to you.

Satan is projecting his lies onto you.

Don’t look at him. Look at Christ who looks upon you with great compassion and desires for you to be whole.

Jesus wants you free from the lies which keep you bound. He knows the pain; He bore it on the Cross

He was pierced for our offenses, crushed for our sins, upon Him was the chastisement that makes us whole, by His stripes we were healed.

Isaiah 53:5

May God grant you the humility to acknowledge the lies that may have been generated by the evil one.

May you be given the grace to allow Jesus to enter those wounds, expose the lies, and relieve you of the pain.

May the Holy Spirit lead you to someone who will compassionately walk with you through your woundedness.

Please pray for me as I pray for you!
