The Hinge in Transition
Last night was my final evening with our middle school youth and we ended, as we always do every week, with 30 minutes of Eucharistic Adoration – my favorite form of prayer.
Today I went to the Cathedral for the 12:10 Mass forgetting what day it was. My personal intention for this Mass was that of thanksgiving: for courage to start the discernment process and see it through, that the Holy Spirit made the decision obvious, and for the blessing of great joy.
What I received back was affirmation for a good discernment, and such great grace to begin this new life.
Today was a First Friday and, unbeknownst to me, the tradition at the Cathedral is exposition of the Blessed Sacrament following the 12:10 Mass.
What an awesome gift — to end one journey and begin the next with an intimate encounter with the Creator and my Lord!
Pray for me as I pray for you.
