Out of Hibernation
I have no idea of anyone reads these thoughts of mine.
Honestly, it doesn’t matter. Having a blog can be quite cathartic. There is a freedom in knowing that these words may end up in the digital netherworld. It’s easier to be vulnerable with this mindset.
Anyhoo.. way off track.
It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted anything new. The elections and covid caused a toxicity online that I didn’t want to fuel, and the few times that I found myself on the receiving end made it easy to slide into the quiet and unplug a bit.
These last few months (14 to be exact) have allowed me to venture off the main drag and onto paths less traveled. God has been preparing my heart for healing so that I can be strong for this new journey.
So much has happened to my soul. I cannot properly recount the steps, stirrings, and lessons.. nor would anyone find it anything other than tedious.
But I do feel called to share.
Since I’m currently a bit overwhelmed at the prospect of considering just how much to share, I’ll end this post with a few words:
- Sts. Teresa of Avila & John of the Cross
- St. Ignatius of Loyola & the Spiritual Exercises
- Apostoli Viae & Discipleship
Last, but not least, our youngest daughter completed her internship and has taken a position with a Utah school district as their school psychologist. We could not be more proud of her! 👩🎓🏫🥂❤
Please pray for me – and Lily – as we pray for you!
