Detachment
Detachment can be good for the person who is actively detaching (letting go, removing, putting away). It can also save the other.
It’s time to remove the hummingbird feeder. It makes me a little sad because I’m not a cold weather person and – unlike all my FB friends – pumpkin spice lattes aren’t on my radar.
At all.
But, without removing the feeder, my little friend might not take the hint that it’s time to join the migration and go south for just a little while.
Seasons change …
“I recognized that whatever God does will endure forever; there is no adding to it, or taking from it. Thus has God done that He may be revered.
What now is has already been; what is to be, already is: God retrieves what has gone by.”
Ecclesiastes 3:14-15
My little friend and I must both detach from the warmth of Pennsylvania summers and prepare for tomorrow… whatever may come for tomorrow will be different for us both. He will seek the sun; I’ll begin to layer.
Faith is detaching and knowing God will care for us.
On a related note – my jeans still fit!
Pray for me as I pray for you!
