Let Me Introduce Myself…

Hi.  I’m Kathleen Peterson.

I hate to talk about myself which is ironic considering this blog is an outlet to share little bits of my life experiences.

The posts and pages have changed over the years but hopefully reflect growth and spiritual maturity.

I started the site because, although I grew up in a Catholic home with faithful and loving parents, my late teens, 20s, and early 30s did not reflect my upbringing. I was that ‘bad girl’ that parents warned their teens about.  Sex, drugs, and parties were my gods.

And then I met Jesus.

No, I didn’t have a near-death experience.

An invitation to a Steubenville Conference in 1998 changed my life and placed me at the beginning of a new path, the narrow way.

This online journal is for anyone who is unhappy with their life and wants to make a change, parents of children who are ‘lost’ to show there is hope, and those who wonder if ‘they are the only ones’ who love and want to live for Jesus (you are not alone).

In case you’re interested, here’s a little bit about me.

  • Jerry and I have been married for over 25 years; I love him more & more each day. And, he’s a Catholic deacon. #blessed
  • We have 2 grown daughters and one son-in-law.  Uber proud of them all!
  • We home schooled our kids for 10 years.
  • I have a cat named Monica.
  • My favorite food is General Tso’s Chicken and Butterfinger Blizzards.
  • I’m lactose intolerant, which makes the above statement difficult to live with.
  • If we do coffee: black and strong.
  • If we do wine: Merlot, please.
  • A few of my favorite saints are St. Catherine of Siena, St. John of the Cross, St. Gemma Galgani, St. Cardinal Henry Newman, St. Teresa of Avila, and Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati.
  • I cannot live without the Eucharist – Jesus is my life, my breath, my everything.
  • My obit should read, “She loved the young church with all her heart.”
